What is your army theme song or tournament ritual?

I am a firm believer that everyone performs better with theme music.  I know I jam out while on the way to a tournament or with music from my iphone if I am at a hotel somewhere.

I listen to mostly punk in the vein of Bad Religion, NOFX or The Misfits.  I feel it really helps me get into the right mindset to try and own faces.

If I am doing particularly well at the tournament I sometimes gives myself the Bill Bellamy wide receiver speech from Any Given Sunday.  Which, by the way, if you have not seen that movie there is no better time to watch it than during football season.

These are things that help motivate me to keep my eye on the prize even in spite of rolling terrible and trying to gift wrap games for my opponents.

Thanks to all the good voodoo I got from the last post I don't think I'll be rolling as poorly anymore.  So look out!

I say this all the time but this is a dice game.  In this edition of 40k there is a dice roll for everything.  The game is so random you can practically play yourself.

That doesn't mean that you don't need to be in the correct mindset to play your best and consistently do well at local and national tournaments.  I find that the right music or pep talk goes a long way to help stacking the odds in your favor for a first place finish.

"You know when you get old in life things get taken from you.
That's part of life.

But, you only learn that when you start losing stuff.
You find out that life is just a game of inches.

So is Warhammer.

Because in either game, Life or Warhammer, the margin for error is so small.

One half step too late or to early, you don't quite make it.
One half second too slow or too fast and you don't quite catch it.
The inches we need are everywhere around us.
They are in ever break of the game, every minute, every second.

On this team, we fight for that inch
On this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us to pieces for that inch.

We CLAW with our finger nails for that inch.

Cause we know when we add up all those inches that's going to make the fucking difference between WINNING and LOSING

Between LIVING and DYING."
